Innocence

Pulled the posters, all the stars down from the wall

Packed up the snow globes, the glitter, all the hearts

Looked back at all the photos taken of me

Remembering a life that was loved from the start

And I always try to see the good when I think

But I feel the tears every time I try to dream

I’m broken, I’m changing a lot, but still know

My heart only hurts so much because it’s felt love

So I say to you now

Life’s gonna hurt but keep your optimism

When you fall down just stand back up, shake it off

Never let it break your heart

I’ll say “It’s good to see you again.”
