Terrifying Honesty

Sarcasm is nice, sometimes

Today no one cares to ask

You hide all of your pain behind the most modern mask

There’s no meaning anymore, just say, “that sucks.”

Constantly finding new ways to detach yourself from feeling

Maybe once you stop and admit you’re not alright you could find healing

.

Maybe you’ll be able to start blooming

At least that’s just what I’m assuming

But you’re losing everything that makes you human

.

How hard is it to tell your friends you love them?

Sometimes you just care without romantic intention

You call me clingy publicly and I pretend it doesn’t hurt my reflection

I just have one more thing to tell you

.

There’s no point in caring about how you’re seen

An ounce of emotion isn’t in their routine

Push away relationships

And have no real friendships

They’re just a bit much, you don’t keep in touch, not someone you mention

.

How hard is it to tell your friends you love them?

Sometimes you just care without romantic intention

You call me clingy publicly and I pretend it doesn’t hurt my reflection

I just have one more thing to tell you

.

It just hurts a lot when you blow me off

After showing you this heart of mine

Didn’t think I was too much, just trying to be enough

But never mind, it’s all fine
